Refer & Earn
Referral programme terms
Version 1.0 · Effective 2 September 2026 · Maishire Fabrics, Johannesburg
These terms govern the Maishire Fabrics referral programme. By opening a referral account you agree to them. We may update them, and will tell you by email if we do.
1. Who can join
- You must be 18 or older and resident in South Africa.
- You may hold one referral account only.
- Employees and contractors of Maishire Fabrics may not earn referral commission.
- We approve accounts by hand and may decline an application without giving reasons.
2. Your referral code
- On approval we issue you a unique referral code.
- The code identifies you as the referrer. It is not a discount voucher and gives the customer no reduction in price.
- The code is personal to you. You may not sell it, or list it on coupon, deal or discount websites.
3. What earns commission
- A referral qualifies when a customer who is new to Maishire Fabrics quotes your code at the time they book, and then pays their invoice in full.
- A code cannot be added to a booking after the job has been quoted or invoiced.
- Commission is payable on that customer’s first job only. Repeat work by the same customer does not earn further commission.
- You may not use your own code for work at your own home or for your own household.
- We decide, acting reasonably, whether a customer is new and whether a referral qualifies.
4. How commission is calculated
- Commission is 10% of the invoice value excluding VAT, and excluding any travel surcharge, call-out fee or third-party cost recovered on the invoice.
- Commission is confirmed only once the customer’s payment has cleared in our account. A job that is invoiced but unpaid earns nothing.
- If a job is cancelled, refunded, redone free of charge, or the customer disputes and withholds payment, no commission is payable. If commission was already paid to you, we may set it off against your next payout.
- The commission rate may change. Any change applies only to referrals booked after we notify you, never to referrals already logged.
5. Getting paid
- Payouts are made by EFT on or about the 7th of each month, covering commission confirmed during the previous month.
- A minimum balance of R250 applies. Below that, your balance rolls over to the following month.
- You are responsible for giving us correct banking details, and for any loss caused by details you supplied incorrectly.
- Unclaimed balances on an account that has been closed or dormant for 12 months lapse.
6. Tax
Commission is paid gross. You are an independent referrer, not an employee or agent of Maishire Fabrics, and you are responsible for declaring this income and for your own tax affairs. Nothing in this programme creates an employment, partnership or agency relationship.
7. How you may promote us
- Be honest. Do not make claims about our pricing, results or guarantees that we have not published ourselves.
- No spam: no unsolicited bulk email or WhatsApp messaging, and no paid search advertising on the Maishire Fabrics name.
- Do not present yourself as Maishire Fabrics, or as speaking on our behalf.
- Do not use our logo or brand in a way that suggests you are part of the business.
8. Suspension and closure
We may suspend or close a referral account, and withhold commission on affected referrals, where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached — in particular where referrals have been fabricated, self-referred, or claimed for existing customers. We will tell you why. You may close your account at any time; confirmed commission already earned remains payable.
9. Your personal information
To run this programme we collect and store your name, contact details, banking details and a record of your referrals. We process this to administer the programme and pay you, in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing. You may ask us to correct or delete your information at any time, subject to records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes. Customer details shown in your portal are provided so you can see which referrals qualified; you may not use them to contact those customers or for any other purpose.
10. General
We may change or end this programme on reasonable notice. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
